The landscape of youth cricket in the Americas has seen a definitive shift in power, with the United States national side asserting their dominance once again. It has been confirmed that the USA qualify for third straight Under-19 women’s T20 World Cup after a clinical campaign in the regional qualifiers held in the Cayman Islands. Under the astute leadership of Chetna Pagydyala, the team navigated through six matches without a single defeat, proving they are currently the class of the region.

The USA team stood head and shoulders above the competition, finishing six points ahead of their closest rivals, Canada. The narrative of the tournament was set early, as the USA defeated Canada by eight wickets in their opening fixture. As a left-hand batter, Pagydyala is already a veteran of the youth circuit, having participated in the 2025 World Cup. Even though she faced the heartbreak of missing out on the senior T20 World Cup in Nepal earlier this year, her commitment to the national program remains absolute.
