Amidst the celebration of the sport’s rich history, Chamari Athapaththu and Pathum Nissanka emerged as the stars of the evening, securing the prestigious Women’s and Men’s Cricketer of the Year titles. This gala event served as a comprehensive review of the 2025 calendar year, acknowledging individual brilliance across Test, ODI, and T20I formats while honoring domestic stalwarts and legendary contributors.
The Rise of New Talent
Beyond the established icons, the awards shifted focus toward the future of the game. Kamil Mishara was celebrated as the Men’s Emerging Player of the Year, while Imesha Dulani was honored as the Women’s Emerging Player of the Year.
